The Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences (VCS) is offering a six-month clinical internship in companion animal (equine and canine) theriogenology beginning January 1, 2024 and ending June 30, 2024. The goal of the program is to introduce the candidate to a future career in academic or specialty private practice. This program is devoted to participation in the theriogenology service of the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) Ranch and the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH). Interns are assigned to either CVM VMTH or CVM Ranch responsibilities in 2-week blocks with flexibility on an 'as needed' basis. You will work under the supervision of residents and faculty. Technical skills and clinical judgment will be obtained through supervised case management, participation in research projects and attendance at rounds and seminars.
Graduation from an AVMA accredited college of veterinary medicine, or the holding of a certificate from the educational commission for foreign veterinary graduates is required for consideration.
Review of applicants will begin upon receipt of applications and will continue until the position is filled. Applications should include a letter of intent with statement of professional goals, curriculum vitae, and three names of references and contact information.
