Job Description:


The Oklahoma State University, College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking nominations and applications for the Head of the Department of Physiological Sciences. The Department Head reports to the Dean and is the administrative officer of the department with overall responsibilities for faculty recruitment, mentoring, and promotion, budget management, research and instructional activities. The Department Head is expected to provide strong leadership in research, veterinary student education, graduate student education and service. The Department Head is also expected to provide close liaison with the scientific community of the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences, and the University and State of Oklahoma at large. Continued activity in research and/or teaching in the candidate's field of interest is encouraged.


Required qualifications for this position include Ph.D. or Ed.D. The successful candidate will have a PhD and be qualified for appointment to the rank of Full Professor.
