SMALL ANIMAL INTERNAL MEDICINE - Tenure/Clinical Track Assist, Aso, or Full Professor
Are you looking for a career in academia that fits your goals? The Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences, Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine has the job for you. We are looking for two (2) Small Animal Internal Medicine clinicians to join our team.
We are seeking enthusiastic clinicians with a passion for teaching to join our team to provide instruction, consultation, and patient care at the Boren Veterinary Medical Hospital. You will have the opportunity to actively participate in one-on-one training of veterinary interns and students, as well as work alongside colleagues to provide the highest standard of veterinary care.
This is a full-time position includes an excellent benefits package, 4 weeks of vacation, start-up funding for clinical equipment or research endeavors, as well as office electronics. Funding support for conference (continuing education) travel is provided. The ability to do up to 4 weeks of consultation work outside our referral area is also included. Professional rank and salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. Qualified candidates will be considered for competitive Endowed Chair positions.
The position offers opportunities to develop innovative teaching programs in the classroom and clinical setting as well as participation in collaborative research/scholarship activities if desired. Development of an internship or residency program will be highly supported.
The teaching hospital is well-equipped to see a diverse caseload, including minimally invasive procedures. A state-of-the-art, fully integrated minimally invasive surgical suite is also under construction to complement the wide variety of existing equipment available.
Qualifications include a DVM or comparable veterinary degree, residency training in the specialty of small animal internal medicine and certification by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Small Animal Internal Medicine [ACVIM (SAIM)]. Candidates qualified to take the ACVIM (SAIM) certification examination are welcome to apply.
