Role and Responsibilities

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be able to do basic math.

• Must be able to lift 20 to 50 pounds.

• Must be able to troubleshoot at your assigned machine.

• Must ensure correct: code, program, film and machine are referenced when needed.

• Must know the machine in detail and make proper adjustments if needed.

• Must check seals of units.

• Notify foreman if you notice too small or uncentered pastries.

• Must place pastries in a neat order onto the trays.

• Use proper pull/push/lifting safe work methods.

• Follow all company’s policies and procedures.

• Always work in a safe manner.

• Additional duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.

• Must have great communication with foreman and lead.

• Must uphold the Company’s Core Values.

• Area is to be always clean.

• SHIFT & HOURS: New employees will be assigned to any workday: Monday through Sunday; and any shift: Day, Swing and/or Graveyard based upon production needs. A set schedule of days, shifts, and/or hours per week will be based solely upon the union bid process

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Basic Math
• Previous experience in similar production duties at a large commercial or artisan bakery is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a high temperature environment supporting fast paced machinery.
• Ability to quickly learn new job tasks and flexibility to work in different jobs as needed.
• Must have ability to work thoroughly with attention to detail to meet food safety/quality standards.
• Must be able to be productive when machinery is not operable.
• Must be able to work any day, including holidays, or any shift.
• Must have reliable attendance to meet employer’s attendance standards.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must join the union within 30 days of hire.
