Job Description

The Audit and Compliance Specialist provides oversight on Corporate and Business Unit (BU) policies and procedures to assure that both external and internal regulatory and procedural compliance is followed throughout the Supply Chain Management (SCM) process based on the execution of Purchase Orders. The Specialist will address operational policy, procedural and training needs to ensure the BU maintains a fully compliant and US Government approved procurement system.


Ensure internal regulatory and procedural compliance through the process of internal auditing of the Supply Chain process regarding execution of Purchase Orders.


Maintain, monitor and track data of PO audits across specified Elbit America locations and report to SCM leadership and other business relationships as required.
Training and mentoring of SCM personnel relative to procedural compliance. Act as a primary resource for SCM personnel in assessing and evaluating business changes and the impact on the current procurements systems and or processes.
Monitor and update procedures related to the Supply Chain Compliance auditing process and all related documentation.
Monitor and collaborate other Elbit America sites auditing processes to ensure compliance is standard across all Elbit locations.
Monitor and update any material for supply chain that is posted to ensure compliance to the latest information available.
Assist as needed in all internal and external audits requesting supply chain information or documentation.
Communicate procedure updates and any new requirements to SCM personnel via a Compliance Alert.
Other task or projects as assigned
Authorities:
To request and review all needed business information in the context of an audit or compliance review in order to verify that ESA, US Government regulations, internal and Customer external procedures are observed.

 



Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in related discipline is preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2-5 years of related experience
  • Previous roles and responsibilities operating in a government procurement/subcontract environment with a working knowledge of the FAR and DFARS.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other project management software
  • Certifications in Ethics/Compliance/Supplier Diversity would be beneficial.

This position requires a team mentality while able to work individually. A self-motivator that takes initiative to be productive and always look for process improvement. The candidate needs to have a strong personality that can enforce the procedures but in a professional and helpful exchange. A candidate that wants to embrace continuous change and help other that need guidance and assistance when change occurs. Skills in writing documentation, data mining, and presenting would be needed in this position.

5 % travel required
Work is usually conducted in an office.
Some exposure to elements of weather when traveling and/or commuting between buildings.
Overtime may be required on occasion
