A litigation law firm is seeking a Paralegal with 3+ years of experience to join their team in Coral Gables. This is a direct-hire/perm opportunity and firm is offering competitive pay and benefits as well as a flexible hybrid schedule.


The Paralegal performs work independently handling cases from pre-suit to mediation to trial. The incumbent must be familiar with legal and medical terminology, have an extensive understanding of preparing summaries of claims files, medical records and miscellaneous investigation materials to determine validity of claims for liability and damages. Paralegal must be able to prepare pleadings and discovery, as well as trial related materials. Paralegal must be able to communicate in writing and/or verbally important case related information and materials to the assigned attorney handling the file to improve the attorney's productivity and efficiency. Organizational abilities are a must.


The incumbent must be familiar with and have working knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and the operation of Civil and Federal Courts throughout the State of Florida with respect to deadlines and judicial requirements.


The incumbent may also be assigned a variety of clerical tasks requiring independent judgment and action.


Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint


5 years current litigation experience as a paralegal


High school graduation or equivalent diploma
