Location: UHealth Tower






Shift Schedule: Between the Hours of 3:00AM - 8:00PM (Variable Shifts, Including Weekends)




The Department of Food Services has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Sr. Cook (U) position. The Senior Cook (U) prepares food based on recipe and portion instructions provided by the organization. Further, the Senior Cook (U) customizes food items on the menu to meet customers' requests and needs. Moreover, an employee in this position ensures that applicable standards and regulations are being always followed at assigned facilities.



CORE JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Remains mindful of each individual customer's health conditions and religious requirements when preparing meals.


  • Ensures meal quality and customer satisfaction.


  • Maintains cleanliness of work area and ensures good personal hygiene.


  • Assists in menu planning and costing and offers ideas.


  • Oversees and trains junior staff and allocates work.


  • Prepares beverages, main courses, desserts, and other applicable dishes.


  • Maintains and operates all equipment used and ensures equipment is functioning properly at all times.


  • Keeps records of food inventory and confirms adequate levels.


  • Receives, stores, and signs for food items and supplies delivered by vendors.


  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS:



  • High School diploma or equivalent required


  • Minimum 4 year of relevant experience
