We have an opportunity available for an Install Technician – Team Lead to work within our Install Team. The Install Technician will be will serve as a team lead within Central's install department. They will work closely with the Service Manager and Directors on local and non-local projects. The Technician will manage a team of Central's install technicians to coordinate receiving/delivering and installation of commercial foodservice equipment and supplies for contract projects & private customers. The team lead position means serving as a primary point of contact with our customers and requires a level of professionalism to ensure Central is represented well in the field. The team lead will assist with growing profitable revenue within the department by providing and charging for additional services we can provide our local and non-local customers.

What you will do:

  • Contract & Multi-Unit Installations
    • Local and out of town equipment installations.
    • Manage install crew and execute per job plans/specs.
    • Track job hours, expenses, and change-orders.
    • Control and minimize onsite expenses.
  • Installations for general sales.
    • Provide set in place white glove deliveries and install equipment as needed for general sales customers.
    • Coordinate schedule w/ Service Manager & multiple ongoing projects
  • Training
    • Train in commercial HVAC and Refrigeration fields.
    • Train/Certify w/ preferred vendors to perform startup & service of equipment.
  • Service Work
    • Provide warranty work for Project Managers/Contract jobsites as well as other vendors as needed.
    • Assist in warehouse

What we need:

  • Construction Industry experience is required in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, HVAC or foodservice
  • Experience following construction layout and plans and executing installations per specifications required
  • Demonstrated leadership character.
  • Ability to develop and manage install crew.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service & relationship mindset.
  • Capacity to train in commercial HVAC and Refrigeration fields to develop skill set and abilities.
  • Ability to travel out of state.
  • Valid driver license.
  • Travel to jobsites.
  • Ability to move heavy equipment with the proper equipment– upwards of 500lbs
