Director, Ad Operations at The E.W. Scripps Company

Job Description:

The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking a Director of Ad Operations to oversees the customer relationship management and order management systems and sets strategy for the ad operations team, Cultivate and shares a center of operational expertise for the execution and management of digital advertising, create policies and operationalizes new revenue opportunities and emerging revenue generating products, and be primary project manager to plan, implement and maintain ad tech stack.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:


  • Work with internal business units on establishing policies, processes and procedures to operationalize and implement ad products


  • Be the primary liaison for all internal groups in ensuring accurate and optimal ad campaign performance


  • Oversee the operational roll-out and implementation of new products


  • Collaborate with internal teams to explore new technologies and potential external partnerships that will help enhance advertising capabilities in order to drive business and increase revenue opportunities


  • Act as a team member with sales management and account executives on advertising campaigns from quote to renewal, providing innovative ways to drive campaign success


  • Oversee Ad Operations staff to ensure advertising campaigns are fulfilled as expected


  • Provide guidance, direction, coaching and development to members of the Ad Operations team


  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Work closely with stations to transform procedures based on feedback from those stations


  • Point person on internal Ad Ops initiatives including, but not limited to Ad Server migration, potential Order Management System evaluation and testing, etc.



  • Provide constructive and candid feedback to the sales team when needed. 




WHAT YOU'LL NEED:


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience an operations environment.


  • 3+ years of management experience required


  • Experience with a variety of technologies used for metrics


  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and platforms.


WHAT YOU'LL BRING:


  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve problems quickly and with extreme attention to detail


  • Ability to collaborate on projects and lead a team


  • Strong understanding of ad operations, platforms, technologies, and industry trends


  • Excellent analytical skills


  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
