RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer in Houston, TX.

Summary:
As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a key role in exploring the potential of TinyML and LLM/generative AI for various use cases, working independently and collaboratively to bring innovative ideas to life.

Responsibilities:

• Machine Learning Engineer will design and develop rapid prototypes POCs applications on edge devices powered by LLMs and TinyML


• Develop and implement data collection and pre-processing pipelines for TinyML models


• Train and evaluate TinyML models on various datasets, ensuring accuracy and performance optimization


• Select and utilize appropriate TinyML frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow Lite, Edge Impulse) for efficient model development and deployment


• Gather and pre-process data for training TinyML models, ensuring data quality and relevance


• Train and evaluate simple TinyML models on edge devices, optimizing for accuracy and resource efficiency


• As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will document and present findings effectively, clearly communicating the potential and limitations of each prototype


• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in TinyML and LLM research and development

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong understanding of embedded systems programming and resource constraints


• Familiarity with TinyML and LLM principles and potential applications


• Proficiency in Python, familiarity with C++ is preferred


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills


• A passion for innovation and a desire to push the boundaries of technology


• Ability to work independently and think creatively to solve problems


• Experience with cloud platforms and APIs for integrating with LLMs is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
