We are currently hiring for a Fluid Power Team Leader.

Hours are 6:30AM - 4PM (Monday - Friday)

*Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays and overtime as required.


The purpose of this position is to assume lead responsibility for assigned work area(s), monitor work activities, give directions to team members in the assigned work area, and participate in the work performed.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assign work within the department, monitor work progress to meet work completion standards
  • Assure a quality product is delivered to the customer by reviewing finished work, inspecting product as needed
  • Review and monitor labor/productivity logs and reports
  • Train new team members in safe and proper work techniques and in use of supplies, materials and equipment
  • Assist in production planning, determine work level volumes and order of priority according to customer needs and demands
  • Set an example to other team members by demonstrating the proper procedures and processes to follow, always leading by example
  • Continue to develop knowledge of assigned product area in order to assist team members and answer their questions
  • Act as a mediator between team members to resolve conflicts
  • Assist in team member performance reviews
  • Assist in entering pertinent information into computer to properly move work orders through stages of production
  • Work as a liaison as need between departments
  • Answer customer calls and troubleshoot problems, update progress of jobs, and assist with hot rush orders
  • Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

EXPERIENCE NECESSARY:

  • 5 years mechanical fluid power experience or equivalent preferred
  • 3 years supervisory experience of employees



REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of techniques, methods and procedures used in the maintenance and repair of fluid power components
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Flexibility to change routine to handle situations, rush orders as they arise
  • Demonstrate accuracy when working with detail
  • Interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems in standardized situations
  • Aptitude in safe use of mechanical tools and precision measuring tools used to perform job duties
  • Begin and complete projects with little to no supervision
  • Ability to multitask on a daily basis
  • High school diploma or GED required, comparable trade school or apprenticeship experience a plus
