AstraZeneca's vision in Oncology is to help patients by redefining the cancer-treatment paradigm, with the aim of bringing a broad pipeline of next-generation medicines focused principally on six tumor areas - breast, ovarian, lung, gynecology, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, and hematological cancers. As well as other tumor types, these are being targeted through five key platforms - immunotherapy, the genetic drivers of cancer and resistance, DNA damage repair, and antibody drug conjugates underpinned by personalized healthcare and biomarker technologies.


As the Associate Director of Regional Marketing (ADRM) for GI Oncology you will use your clinical diagnostic knowledge and experience in order to make a significant impact on patient care with a global pharmaceutical company.


The ADRM develops and implements Regional Marketing Plans that align with the strategic imperatives of the brand strategy plans to influence and shape local brand commercial success. The ADRM coordinates with Oncology Business Managers and National Oncology Account Directors to advise geography planning by being the connection between the headquarters marketing team and the needs at the geography.


The ADRM generates timely and actionable on-label customer insights that advise real-time commercialization approach and strategic insights with appropriate data to advise annual brand planning at the regional level. The role develops tailored initiatives that compliantly educate given the local market opportunities consistent with the regional business plan. This role will identify and engage with regional customers on appropriate, on-label or disease education topics and integrate their input to build market leadership and achieve commercial objectives. Also, this role ensures ethical business decisions and actions are consistently shown. The Associate Director of Regional Marketing has a strong marketing background to independently build proposed marketing plans to field and internal brand teams.


This position is field based, supporting the Oncology teams in Northern CA, WA, OR, Northern Nevada, ID, AK, WY, and MT. Candidates should live in the territory.



Responsibilities




  • Strategic Regional Marketing: Develop, design and implement Regional Marketing Plans that align with brand strategy plan strategic imperatives and that influence and shape local brand support. Use input from external thought leaders to help build market leadership and achieve commercial objectives.



  • ESE Customer Engagement: Identify and engage a core group of 35-50 National and Regional ESEs, using sophisticated scientific, communication and business skills that lead to advocacy of the brand.



  • Insights Generation: Generate timely and practical customer insights that inform Brand strategic decision-making and other meaningful marketing adjustments through interactions (1:1s, congresses, consultancies and advisory board meetings).



  • Business Ethics and Skill: Compliantly leading multiple program budgets, timelines, processes and procedures.



  • Internal Partnership: Collaborate with field sales leadership and Brand Teams to develop and implement local regional strategies and tactics based on local market opportunities.

Qualifications:



Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree


  • 10+ years of Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry experience


  • 3+ years of Oncology Experience


  • Marketing Experience


  • 50-70% overnight travel including evening and weekend conferences when necessary




Preferred Qualifications


  • MBA


  • 3+ years HCP, Product or Brand marketing experience
