The Supplier Quality Engineer leads the efforts to ensure ENPRO suppliers are following the ENPRO businesses' Supplier Quality Assurance Manual, Quality Policy, and applicable Industry Standards as well as guidelines for continuous improvement. In doing so, the Supplier Quality Engineer provides leadership for supplier development, conducts supplier quality audits, track and analyzes data, ensures implementation of corrective/preventative action. This role will be a strategic, collaborative upstream influencer for Supply Chain, Engineering, and other technical functions.

Leads audits, assesses, and improves the quality of third party supplied products and external processing for Enpro
Works with Sourcing and Supply Chain teams to assist in the approval of new and alternate suppliers in a timely fashion by providing technical guidance and advice to suppliers and business decision-makers
Focuses efforts to eliminate single and sole source situations and in reducing the corresponding supply risk associated with these instances
Owns and is responsible for implementation and administration of the Supplier Quality Assessment Database in Smartsheet
Collaborates with divisional Engineering and Quality personnel in place at the businesses and segments in a matrixed fashion
Creates and maintains quality standards and testing systems that reflect the customer's needs and expectations
Assures all parts, suppliers, and services received are compliant
Drives, leads, and promotes supplier quality performance and initiatives, including new product development and product quality improvement, to improve quality and strategic business goals
Oversees supplier quality activities and establishes quality control objectives by maintaining supplier quality records in the Supplier Quality Assessment Database and elsewhere, relationships with the Sourcing and Supply Chain teams and other business functions
Bridges strategic objectives to tactical execution by creating and maintaining standard work
Maintains a best-in-class customer-service focus and attitude
Creates, maintains, and documents processes and procedures following standards and policies, including configuration and change management pertinent to Supplier Quality
Assists with technical documentation and contribute to the creation / publishing of Knowledge Base articles
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, quality, supply chain, engineering, or related degree.
7+ years' experience in operations or quality with progressive experience in a lead role of a technical support team
Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet application required (Smartsheet, MS Office and/or Google).
Ability to understand blueprints, supplier/customer specification manuals, control plans, statistics, written and verbal instructions.
Excellent problem solving/analytical skills, and ability to work effectively with all organizational levels within a culturally diverse and customer-oriented environment.
Ability to apply appropriate use of statistical techniques. Experience with some quality data analysis software applications is required. (e.g., Minitab)

Enpro carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors including the background, education, training, and experience required, as well as geographic considerations such as cost of labor, and applicable local and state laws. These considerations can cause offered compensation to vary. The hiring range for this position is typically $80,000 to $115,000 annually. Actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
