Primary Function of Position:

The Order Management Product Owner within the Global Services Business Systems team will be responsible for representing the complete order management process cycle for the global services teams. This includes the interface with quotations, account creation, order placement, order status, and returns. This role will drive business user interests and ensure the product vision, priorities, and solution are actively serving the functional and cross functional business needs. This role will work closely with the global business users and the IT solution teams and regularly communicate with key stakeholders on the product vision and management of priorities.

The Product Owner will work within a cross-functional team to document business use cases and user requirements for Business Systems such CRM and SAP. This includes working with both technical and content development teams, other software product owners, and IT. The Product Owner will be responsible for developing and maintaining the product roadmaps by scoping requirements from internal partners, relevant customer feedback, content use analytics, and industry research.

This is a business role and not a solution (IT) role.

Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Influence the product vision and roadmaps for from the end user perspective including:

      • Defining the product intention, scope, and strategy

      • Prioritization of business system requirements, needs, enhancements and issues

      • Defining and tracking of user requirements and / or software requirements

      • Coordinate development projects and needs

      • Oversee user feedback and communications to drive maintenance and improvement actions



  • Partner with the customer service, logistics, planning and other relevant business teams to establish business user requirements and business use cases for business systems

  • Partner with IT development teams to develop acceptance criteria, assemble needed resources, support User Acceptance Testing, and document final approvals and ensure product deliverables are on schedule and met

  • Work directly with the IT platform development team and vendors as needed to execute and deliver on the product roadmap

  • Manage education and change management required to drive adoption of new content management technologies

  • Work closely with Business Analysts, Business Owners, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to review and refine business process workflows including identifying areas of possible simplification.

  • Manage the product priorities including risk based needs for the business and escalations as needed

  • Deep knowledge of business best practices around the order management processes and business systems

  • Work closely with Project Managers to ensure project deliverables are understood, timely, and delivered to scope

  • Feed into Process architecture mapping activities for business capability mapping, business requirements documents and process change workflows

  • Influential to sprint planning, review and impact to the business and IT teams

  • Communication with stakeholders including business users, business and IT leadership, cross functional Impacted business teams, and others as needed

  • Create and maintain business process blueprints for how processes flow into and out of our technology solutions

  • Operating business model analysis of the current business systems supporting product quality and identification of gaps in process and data streams

  • Growth models and projections to ensure sustaining business needs are met as well as alignment with future system capability needs

  • Identify and expand value streams including and aligning with system application and process mapping

  • Create synergies with global business entities to ensure alignment for needs and growth requirements are met

  • Work closely with other Product owners within the Global Services Business Systems team to align on business information models

  • Provide input and training related to the product quality business systems throughout the organization as identified and needed

  • Accomplish project objectives by planning and evaluating related activities and communicating status and project to management on a regular basis

  • Manage the Center of Excellence for order management with focus on functional and regional needs

Qualifications
Skill/Job Requirements

Minimum requirements in order to adequately perform the responsibilities of this position are as follows:



  • Education:

    • B.S. or higher in Technology , Project Management or related field preferred

    • Non-technical degree with equivalent complex experience acceptable




  • Experience/Skills:

    • Minimum 5+ years relevant experience working in a regulated environment or equivalent as a project manager, business architect or similar function

    • Service working knowledge or comparable interactions with related activities and processes.

    • Experience in a regulated industry such as medical devices strongly preferred

    • Experience using similar business systems (SAP, Agile, SFDC, etc.)

    • Proven ability to work on cross-functional teams and communicate with colleagues in both business and technical roles required

    • Experience gathering and documenting business and customer requirements

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to present information in a clear and concise manner to various technical, business stakeholder, and leadership audiences

    • Project Management Experience with proven success

    • Exposure to global regulations and/ or Quality System requirements a plus

    • Ability to independently analyze various forms of data provide actionable output

    • Ability to synthesize data and observations to see trends, identify gaps against regulations and make logical recommendations for action

    • Independent thinker, willing to present alternative conclusions or inferences

    • Ability to understand detailed technical information such IT requirements

    • Experience in continuous improvement processes

    • Ability to translate analytical and technical information into effective presentations for business consumption

    • Good interpersonal skills and able to work well with cross-functional teams

    • Solid attention to detail, organization skills and ability to multi-task across multiple projects/activities

    • Must be self-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervision

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target salary ranges are listed.

Base Salary Range Region 1: $145,100 USD - $208,900 USD
Base Salary Range Region 2: $123,400 USD - $177,600 USD
Shift: Day
Travel: 10% of the time
Workplace Type: Set Schedule - This job will be onsite weekly, the percentage of onsite work will be defined by the leader.
