Job Description:

Commercial Project Manager


  • Are you an experienced project manager with a passion for commercial and industrial construction? Our client is seeking a dynamic individual to join their team as a Commercial Project Manager. In this full-time role, you'll be responsible for overseeing a diverse portfolio of projects, including warehouses, factories, manufacturing facilities, logistics/trucking centers, office spaces, auto dealerships, aviation hangars, higher education institutions, parking structures, and self-storage facilities.



Responsibilities:


  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.

  • Budget Management: Manage project budgets, track expenses, and optimize cost efficiency.

  • Client and Team Coordination: Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Quality Control and Risk Management: Implement quality assurance processes and mitigate project risks.

  • Documentation and Procurement: Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, change orders, and procurement documents.

  • Construction Document Literacy: Read and interpret construction documents, including project plans, specifications, and shop drawings.

  • Software Proficiency: Utilize industry-standard software such as ProCore and BlueBeam for project management.

  • Effective Communication and Leadership: Foster strong communication within the team and provide leadership to achieve project goals.



Qualifications:


  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial and/or industrial construction project management, handling projects with a minimum cost of $10 million.

  • Education: High school diploma required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and ProCore.

  • Understanding of Processes: Clear understanding of documentation and processes between owners, architects, and contractors.

  • Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Ability to think creatively, adapt to changing circumstances, and drive results.
