Job Description
Main Purpose
This is a working Supervisor role to work side by side with the Maintenance Mechanics while supervising their performance/activity and training as needed.
This is a 2nd Shift role, Monday-Friday 2:30PM-11PM.
Key Job Responsibilities
Assign tasks to employees and monitor their activities; ensure maintenance area is neat and organized
Ensure maintenance personnel are following all operational and health and safety procedures
Supervise the preventive maintenance and repairs of all plant equipment
Coordinate all major projects, ex. shut downs
Manage the organization of maintenance shop and parts trailer
Oversee mobile equipment maintenance i.e., forklift, track and back hoes and assist Maintenance Manager to ensure parts and supplies are in inventory
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required
3 to 5 years of mechanical experience
Previous management experience is a plus
Ability to read equipment prints; secure information from OEM manuals; apply basic mathematical concepts; and understand and apply common operational documents, SOP's, and training modules
The ability to drive a forklift
The candidate must have own tools
Must possess a valid driver's license
