Job Summary

We are seeking a Revenue Accountant to be responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant revenue recognition specifically for our SaaS product offerings and professional services engagements. This position will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyze contracts, billings, assess revenue implications, and provide financial insights. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606), exceptional analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain an understanding of the company’s products and offerings relative to their impact on revenue transactions and the application of ASC 606.


• Manage revenue recognition for a growing portfolio of customer contracts through monthly communication with internal stakeholders to understand status of all on-going projects.


• Review/analyze customer contracts for revenue recognition attributes and make/track appropriate revenue allocations.


• Assist with the preparation of technical accounting revenue write-ups for large contracts.


• Collect and analyze data from various systems and teams to perform required adjustments on a monthly basis.


• Perform timely execution of month-end and quarter-end close processes, including account reconciliation preparation and journal entry preparation in ERP system.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and support strategic decision-making.


• Prepare and analyze various financial reports related to revenue, providing insights to management.


• Continuously assess and enhance revenue accounting processes to streamline efficiency and accuracy.


• Assist in external audit activities and audit preparation.


• Assist in special projects as needed.

Other Responsibilities:

• Other duties/projects as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.


• Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition.


• Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, SFDC and advanced Excel skills.


• 3-5 years of related accounting experience, preferably in a fast growing, dynamic, multinational environment.


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.


• Public accounting experience and CPA license is preferred.
