As the Design Engineer, you will assist engineering design personnel in the preparation and carrying out of original or adaptations to designs and design changes, necessitated by inadequate tolerances, general manufacturing problems, or customer requirements. Prepare simple sketches and complete detail and layout drawings. You will make layouts of components, calculates stack-up of detail components, and may prepare minor cost studies consisting of new details or marked prints and all supporting documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform technical tasks to support engineering and maintenance activities involving the construction, design, specification, startup, and operation of facilities, mechanical, chemical, and electrical systems.


• Work from schematics, diagrams, written/verbal instructions, layouts, or defined plans.


• Measure/reports progress toward goals for schedule and cost.


• Collaborate with other facilities organizations/internal customers to support the safety/reliability of equipment/systems.


• Use computer-based information resources and support recommendations for systems' optimization.


• Work with plant engineering site leadership on asset management, field data collection, project turnover check list, updating existing conditions documents, sustainability project development and tracking, any/all other tasks or projects that are needed and that fit generally into the overall job description.

• 2 years of college towards a degree in Engineering with 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
