Description: Our client is currently seeking a Electrical Field Technician to work out of their base in the Greater New Orleans, LA area (with TRAVEL).
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team in the Marine/Maritime space. As a You will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of safety and level gauging equipment on industrial and commercial marine vessels. Your duties will involve working with electrical conduit, marine grade cabling, and various components. Additionally, you will be required to test, inspect, and diagnose electrical systems, as well as read and understand electrical schematics.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Install and maintain safety and level gauging equipment on marine vessels.
Proficiently install electrical conduit, bend pipe, and run marine grade cabling.
Test, inspect, and diagnose electrical systems, ensuring continuity of circuits.
Utilize ohmmeters, voltmeters, and loop calibrators for troubleshooting.
Demonstrate basic knowledge of PLC programming, industrial automation, and process control.
Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office & Outlook and basic PC networking.
Build professional customer relationships through effective communication.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Technical degree, related certifications, or 2-3 years of experience preferred.
Valid driver's license, TWIC card, and passport (or ability to obtain).
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
