MATRIX is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in supporting various projects at one of our client sites.

The primary work location will be onsite at a client location in Killona, Louisiana.

Responsibilities:

Manage the timeline, budget, and risks of the work performed by the workforce.
Review and approve invoices under the Project Manager.
Provide cost projections and identify cost trends for management.
Track project progress through the earned value process.
Develop resource/cash flow plans to project future resource needs.
Identify, analyze, and provide solutions to cost engineering problems.
Review expense forms or other invoice documentation for accuracy.
Monitor the scope, cost, and schedule for the project.
Perform primarily office and non-manual work.
Perform work related to the management or general business operations of MATRIX

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position:

Basic understanding of project management of project controls
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Preferably with the knowledge and ability to manipulate data in Excel, and use pivot tables.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
Strong written and verbal communication skills desired
10+ years of experience in power plant operations or equivalent military experience.
Must be able to attain unescorted access to a US Nuclear power facility. This will require background checks and initial and random drug screening.

Other Skills and Abilities Required:

The employee is self-motivated and has a willingness to learn.
Has extensive knowledge of nuclear applications.
Possesses excellent knowledge of functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Able to handle high-paced work environment.
The ability to communicate well with customers and other MATRIX and customer/client employees.
Must be dependable.
Must have proficient computer skills.
