Position: Senior Manager II, Corporate Strategy

Duties: Understands the drivers of the financial metrics that impact the business. Performs analyses based on independent reasoning to draw appropriate conclusions. Analyzes business and financial data and supports the implementation and tracking of business plans that enable the attainment of financial goals. Understands the impacts of factors and trends that may affect financial performance. Communicates the results of analyses to diverse audiences. Thinks critically and systematically about complex business problems and opportunities. Applies underlying theories behind macroeconomic behaviors to all levels of the organization. Evaluates and interprets the influence of organization's wider environment (for example., financial, industry, scientific, political factors) and offers insights and provides recommendations related to macroeconomic analysis. Develops a business and finance plan that delivers the needs of the business and is consistent with Walmart's overall strategy. Uses strategic frameworks, advanced models, and business and competitor knowledge to prepare strategies, understand trade-offs, and make informed business decisions. Monitors and reviews changes in customer and competitor behavior and develops appropriate organization responses. Consults with internal/external stakeholders to seek out strategic alternatives. Assesses options based on impacts to key business imperatives. Tailors offerings and solutions to current and future needs. Facilitates cross-functional team thinking to collectively create and share ideas. Ensures data quality and organization for analysis. Defines benchmarks and quality rules for key data assets. Participates in the feedback loop between data intake and insights and works on improving the data-collection process. Identifies opportunities for improving data-driven decision-making. Identifies and proposes ways to automate and/or improve existing processes in assigned area of work with the help of technology. Demonstrates a working knowledge of data analysis techniques and applications. Collaborates with partners in the value chain to develop beneficial working relationships and positive outcomes across international markets. Leads cross-functional strategic initiatives and encourages team members to cultivate relationships across businesses and markets. Establishes shared goals and information-sharing platforms to foster collaboration. Resolves issues related to collaborative efforts in varying business conditions. Seeks out individuals with different perspectives to help foster creativity and professional growth. Leads problem-solving efforts for complex and ambiguous problems. Challenges assumptions and identifies potential consequences and risk levels. Uses varying problem-solving approaches and techniques as needed. Prepares and makes recommendations and guides the implementation of corrective and/or preventive actions for complex issues. Collaborates with stakeholders across multiple functions to drive the recommended solutions. Utilizes expertise to proactively anticipate and prevent problems. Leads discussions with varying viewpoints. Presents to and influences diverse audiences across divisions using appropriate frameworks/tools. Leverages fact-based data and analytics insights from multiple domains to build a cohesive narrative, form an argument, organize thoughts, and present in a clear, concise, and meaningful way. Demonstrates decision-making and coordination skills when faced with conflicting or ambiguous inputs. Acts as an advisor to diverse business partners, influencing them to act as needed to move the business forward.



Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in business or related field plus 5 years of experience in business development or related field.



Skills required: Must have experience with: crafting and executing long-term business plans; guiding various departments towards common goals; organizing tasks in a dynamic environment; utilizing market data to inform strategies; assessing and prioritizing potential business opportunities; applying frameworks for complex issue resolutions; identifying key drivers for market leadership; conducting organizational transformation with data and metrics; crafting clear and actionable OKRs and translating the same into operating models for a large organization; and driving clear communication plans and structure for a large organization.
