Knowledge Services Librarian (Knowledge Svcs Librarian)

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of our Chicago, IL PulsePoint location.

The Knowledge Services Librarian is responsible for supporting the Knowledge Services and Guideline Development team by managing the information resources collection, developing solutions to address knowledge management needs, conducting literature searches, and performing surveillance of medical literature.

How you will make an impact:

  • Evaluates and develops solutions to address knowledge management needs.
  • Oversees document delivery services for clinical and library staff to support research for Carelon Medical Benefits Management Clinical Appropriate Guidelines updates.
  • Conducts information needs assessment, service/resource evaluation and process improvement of senior managers, clinical leadership, and Knowledge Services team.
  • Collaborates with Knowledge Services team and Information Services & Technology to implement technology solutions.
  • Administers data repositories and develops new areas where repositories can be leveraged.
  • Supervises content repository integrity and liaison with IT regarding technical issues.
  • Conducts structured research within defined methodologies.
  • Aggregates and publishes information to internal stakeholders via tailored knowledge products.
  • Assesses and flags content for review in the update process for Carelon Medical Benefits Management Clinical Appropriate Guidelines.
  • Conducts literature surveillance and present summaries of relevant articles to Carelon Medical Benefits Management clinical leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Requires a BA/BS in library science, health policy, information technology or epidemiology and minimum of 7 years experience with content or knowledge management systems; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
  • Master's preferred.
  • Administrative knowledge of SharePoint, WordPress or Adobe Experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to search medical literature databases (e.g. PubMed/MEDLINE, Embase, ReprintsDesk, ScienceDirect) strongly preferred.
