Position Overview

Our sales consultants work directly with amazing customers to build relationships and grow the business. We are a champion in the distribution of janitorial supplies, packaging supplies, foodservice supplies and cleaning equipment.

Schedule: Core Business Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM with some early morning, late evening or weekend hours required based on company needs.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing service to accounts, which may require some evenings and occasional weekends.
  • Responsible for the following activities and reporting requirements:
  • Demonstration and use of Envoy Selling program
  • Support, attend and on-time completion of all training initiatives
  • Daily use of CRM system
  • Submission of weekly pre-planners and daily written follow up
  • Monthly completion of Sales Scorecards and Pipeline Updates
  • Written professional and personal goals
  • Provide training to customers: end users, management, etc. as needed and whenever needed.
  • Keeping customer files and records updated with appropriate contact names (salutation, first/last name, titles) phone/fax numbers, e-mail addresses, purchasing / pricing history.
  • Responsible for coordinating pricing and other required details on orders to ensure they can be invoiced when shipped; Entering some orders and delivery of some orders.
  • Actively utilizing a time management system, and customer management system adopted by company.
  • Attending sales meetings and training seminars when available/as scheduled. Calling into the office on a routine basis to receive phone messages, messages from other employees, etc. Communicating as necessary via E-mail, voice mail, etc.
  • Non-selling time should be used for writing orders, figuring bids, keeping files and e-mails current, and writing proposals.
  • Complete all compliance training within timelines provided.
  • REQUIREMENTS:
    • Maintain home office
    • Become proficient in daily usage of company software programs.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulation .
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Understanding “add-on” percent and “margin” percent.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Valid Driver’s License; good driving record at all times, adherence to Risk Management Policy.
