Overview
An Maintenance Electrician at Velociti Services will be responsible for installing and repairing complex electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems working from a technical blueprint. To perform in this position, you need an electrician degree from a technical college and experience in the field working on simple and complex electrical systems.
Responsibilities
Duties / Responsibilities:
Read blueprints or technical diagrams.
Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems,
Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers.
Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices.
Provide preventative maintenance work on all electrical equipment.
Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code.
Trace circuits in buildings and label panel schedules
Respond to after hours calls when requested 24/7
Work weekend on scheduled Planned Power Outages for Preventive Maintenance when scheduled
Other duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications
Required Skills / Abilities:
Must have a valid State of New Jersey Electrical License or Journeyman Certificate.
Must be able to pass a background investigation for FAA/WJHTC Badge.
Must have a valid Driver’s License.
High school diploma
Valid driver's license
Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints and maintenance and repair knowledge
Experience in renewable energy field
Good team player
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
The ability to make critical decisions under pressure

Physical Requirements
Applicants for this role must be able to:
Lift boxes and packages weighing up to 60 pounds
Lift, bend, squat, and stretch to move boxes, parcels, and shipments
Climb small to medium flights of stairs multiple times a day
Standing for extended periods of time
