Job Title: EHS-Safety Process Specialist
Comp: $105-155K+ (depending on experience)
Location: St. Clair County, IL (on-site only)

Responsibilities:
Lead PHA Process: Manage the Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) process, including training facilitators, conducting PHAs, and performing Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA).
Drive Compliance: Ensure adherence to PSM regulations, Responsible Care Process Safety requirements, and other relevant standards.
Promote Best Practices: Share PSM best practices, serve on the global Process Safety Council, and provide expertise in recognized engineering practices.
Collaborate & Coach: Partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to provide coaching, training, and PSM support.
Ensure Training & Alignment: Align site procedures with corporate PSM programs, conduct PSM training, and participate in project reviews.
Lead Audits & Investigations: Lead/participate in PSM audits, incident investigations, and root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical, or related technical field.
3-5 years of professional experience in PSM and RMP, with expertise in process safety management.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Audit experience in PSM and familiarity with regulatory requirements (OSHA PSM, EPA RMP).
Additional certifications such as P.E. registration, CHMM, CSP, CIH, or equivalent are a plus!
Additional Desired Skills:
Plant Engineering and process safety management experience.
Familiarity with OSHA PSM, EPA RMP requirements, and state/federal regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, and EHS applications like Gensuite.
