Overview: Our client is looking for an Associate Attorney specializing in Construction Defense. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse group of clients, primarily GCs, in a supportive environment focused on professional growth and development.
Responsibilities:
Handle all aspects of litigation matters related to construction defense, representing primarily General Contractors (GCs).
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
Manage discovery, including drafting and responding to requests.
Attend hearings, depositions, and other court proceedings.
Collaborate with clients to address day-to-day challenges under various construction laws.
Participate in case strategy discussions and provide input on litigation tactics.
Maintain regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members.
Assist with drafting and revising contracts, agreements, and other transactional documents as needed.
Stay updated on developments in construction law and industry trends.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and admission to the Colorado Bar.
1-5 years of experience in construction defense litigation.
Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work well in a team environment.
