Shift: This role is 1st Shift, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

Hourly Rate: $19.10 an hour

Conagra, Imlay City, Michigan, home of the Vlasic brand has a first shift opportunity working onsite in our Warehouse Department. You will report to the Warehouse Team Leader and Warehouse Manager. You will work with the Warehouse Crew Leader and the Quality Team. The regular hours: 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The hourly rate is $19.10/hour.

What will you do:

The Warehouse Quality Driver is responsible for the handling and segregating of finished goods quality holds and rechecks through the use of a forklift. You will be responsible for rework, housekeeping, and material handling equipment.

Essential Duties:

• Perform cycle counts.




• Record broken or lab sample cases and dispose of cases with missing or damaged jars.




• Work safely while moving pallets and bins of finished product.




• Organize finished goods hold area bins working with the Inventory Coordinator.




• Pull, pack, and ship production samples including ship tests, and donations.




• Assist with the rework process locating product by hold numbers to stage for production.




• Load palletizer dispenser stands.




• Retrieve pallets/cases for rechecks for the quality department.




• Segregate holds and follow protocol for entirety of hold procedure.




• Maintain an understanding of jobs in the warehouse to relieve other employees.




• Perform the operation of required machinery and equipment and ensure safety checks are completed.




• Utilize computer software programs and report any issues with functionality.




• Complete all job duties observing the standard work instructions.




• Train employees on job specific duties following safe, quality work methods and standards.




• Lock Out Tag Out certification and forklift certification required.




• Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.




• Follow safe work practices and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained following company policy.




• Work outdoors on occasion.

Main Competencies:

• Minimum one year Forklift driving experience




• Understand basic math and counting skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Use math skills to use and read measurement and instrument tools.




• Communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of employees.
