Job Purpose




Join Our Team as an HSE Advisor!



Are you passionate about promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility? We are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to play a crucial role in our organization. As an HSE Advisor, you will be responsible for guiding line management in delivering and maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental practices. Your primary objectives include building line management understanding of safety processes, leveraging HSE expertise to support various units, and contributing to the development and execution of the HSE strategy.



Key Responsibilities



Processes - Build line management understanding of safety processes (20%)
• Advise line management on safety processes and foster understanding of theoretical concepts and best practices.
• Oversee regulations compliance for air permits, waste management, and other environmental aspects.
• Support Process Safety Management projects and internal audits.


Capability: Leverage HSE expertise to support own unit and others (20%)
• Extend HSE knowledge through participation in training programs and regulatory sessions.
• Provide guidance and support for HSE induction and training activities within the site.
• Enhance HSE capability across the site to meet company expectations.


Delivery: Guide line management to deliver HSE policy, set the culture, and manage hazards (10%)
• Assist in developing and implementing HSE policies and practices aligned with company directives and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate safety activities such as Safety Day and Safety Stand Down to promote a safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and maintain an established HSE management system.


Improvement: Act as a role model for compliance and commitment (10%)
• Engage with employees to promote compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
• Manage actions from compliance assessments and participate in safety audits.
• Contribute to the Behavior Based Safety Program and monitor progress towards HSE maturity.


Strategy: Contribute to the HSE strategy in own unit (10%)
• Contribute to the deployment of the HSE strategy to ensure alignment with site objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute the HSE strategy effectively.


Other: Perform field HSE tasks and functions as required (30%)
• Maintain HSE processes and procedures to ensure compliance with local safety regulations.
• Provide support for training, emergency response, contractor management, and industrial hygiene.



Level of Autonomy



The HSE Advisor may independently make decisions related to safety processes, influencing skills, HSE agenda, and HSE processes at the site level within defined frameworks.



Job Requirements



• Must have a least a minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in processes involving hazardous materials.
• Safety technician education or Bachelor's degree in HSE&S/engineering or related discipline.
• Strong strategic, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and drive continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Specialized knowledge of HSE management systems and programs.



Compensation/Benefits



The salary range for these skills is: $80,000 to $90,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
