Co-op: An 8-month long opportunity, Co-op positions are a full-time employment experience. Co-ops are fully immersed into the worlds of corporate and production industry as a full-time team member.
Internship: A semester long opportunity, Internships positions are a part-time employment experience. With the opportunity to extend multiple semesters, Interns tap into the foundations of our corporate and production industries.
Co-op and Intern opportunities span across 18 of Bobcat's different functions.
Role & Responsibility
Design - Contribute to the design of our product by developing and modifying equipment using Creo 3D modeling software
Embedded Software - Assist in developing hardware and software strategies to support vehicle architecture while meeting industry standards and regulations
Electrical - Assist in the creation, modification and maintenance of engineering design of assigned product systems and components
Electrical Test - Support and complete electrical component testing in the environmental lab
Product Service - Use statistical tools for advanced prediction of machine warranty
Manufacturing - Analyze and make recommendations on the manufacturing process of our products in terms of quality, economic and ergonomic factors
Product Cost - Work with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Product Engineering and Finance to develop analytical models that will predict the cost structure of current and future components
Quality - Complete formal audits and assessments on products and processes.
Software Development - Develop and test new and emerging technology to build proof of concept and minimally viable products
Supplier Development - Assist with supplier/component qualification, supply base change management, root cause & corrective actions, and improve supplier quality and delivery performance
Test - Develop and set up tests to evaluate functionality and performance related to structural fatigue, sound, hydraulic, and cooling
Job Requirement
Requirements for these positions:
Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing in Engineering field
3.0 or higher GPA preferred
Be able to commit full-time to Bobcat for the entire term of the co-op (8 months) or internship (4-months)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
Communication and collaboration skills
