The Alinari Lab at the Ohio State University (OSU) is seeking highly motivated and successful individuals to study the lymphoma-immune cells crosstalk, to identifying therapeutic strategies that trigger potent immunogenic cell death in lymphoma, and to develop novel immunotherapies for lymphoma.
Responsibilities:
Performing with a variety of complex molecular biology techniques, including protein/DNA/RNA isolations, Western blots, Immunoprecipitation, PCR techniques, etc.
Immune cell transfection and viral transduction using lentivirus
Gene editing using CRISPR-Cas9
Spectral flow cytometry and cell sorting including preparing, executing, and analyzing samples
Performing a variety of cell culture techniques including: mammalian cell culture, primary cell culture, and processing tissue (human and murine) into single cell suspensions
Processing human blood samples, and isolating human immune cell subtypes
Performing data analysis and other statistical techniques on sample data, including processing flow data, sequencing, and using various statistical software.
Bacterial work including transformation and plasmid isolations
Assisting or executing animal studies including drug delivery, IVIS imaging, tissue harvesting, etc.
Assisting with writing and figure generation for manuscripts at the direction of the supervisor
Training other staff on techniques and protocols, including generating new protocols as needed
Independently troubleshooting assays and protocols
Taking inventory and assisting with ordering and restocking lab supplies
Maintaining lab equipment
Required Education/Experience:
A Doctoral degree in an appropriate discipline such as immunology or cancer biology is required.
Requires successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous lab experience including working with cancer cells/immunological assays
Multiple first author publications
Salary Range:
$56,484 - $68,604 per the NIH scale
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
