Responsibilities:
Perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping duties such as determining proper carrier and route and preparing paperwork for shipments.
Process outgoing shipments, follow shipping practices and procedures, and route, track, and process shipments using the computer system.
Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of 2 years of related experience. Certification in assigned area preferred, if appropriate
Ability to lift heavy items and may operate a forklift or other power industrial vehicles
Clear knowledge of shipping activities/processes, including classified materials
Ability to support continuous improvement activities
Outstanding communication, customer service and organizational skills
Ability to coordinate the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering
