Location: Frederica, Delaware
Manufacturing specialists perform highly technical tasks and produce highly technical assemblies. These specialists may participate in custom, one-off, specialty products at times.
*Essential Functions:
Understand, practice, and support safety standards in all work and in all locations
Assist engineers by performing analysis, testing, and support of machines, tools, equipment, and mechanical systems
Troubleshoot product designs and suggest or implement improvements
Repair, rework, or modify mechanical assemblies to meet operational specifications and tolerances
Assist engineers with fabricating and assembling mechanical prototype models from blueprints, schematics, or sketches
Conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production models
Work with engineers to perform root cause and failure analysis as required
Provides support to manufacturing to ensure product is created to engineering specifications
May require some travel

Associate
Entry-Level position within field
Performs routine assignments as directed
Closely supervised with little latitude for independent judgment
Intermediate
Performs general tasks and completes routine assignments
Receives assistance in the completion of more complex assignments
Developing proficiency within discipline; works under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment
Senior
Performs complex tasks and completes assignments with little or no assistance
Fully proficient in discipline
Works under limited supervision with latitude for independent judgment
Advanced
Performs advanced tasks and completes the most-difficult assignments
Possesses advanced skill set within discipline
Works under minimal supervision with considerable latitude for independent judgment
May mentor less-experienced peers and assist supervisors, but does not formally supervise others
Qualifications:
Must be able to access shared database with government programs (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.)
Typically requires high school/trade school education, associate degree, certification, or professional training
Associate level requires 0-1 year of experience; Intermediate level, 1- 3 years of experience; Senior level, 3- 5 years of experience; Advanced level 5+ years of experience
Must be able to read and understand blueprints, work instructions, and operation manuals
Must be able to operate computerized manufacturing equipment
Demonstrated, strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrated ability to collaborate well with peers and cross-functional teams and external customers
