The UHealth System at the University of Miami has an exciting opportunity for a Teacher position. The incumbent provides daily quality care for Three-Year-Old Children. Establishes and maintains a good rapport with parents while maintaining a professional relationship with fellow staff. They will report to the Learning Center Director.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ability to operate word processing equipment; advanced written communication skills including grammar, spelling, and punctuation; thorough understanding of all regulations regarding personnel practices
Ability to input data to computer. Holds, feed and diapers children. Completes and maintains logs and records.
Ability to interact with others in a professional, courteous, tactful manner; ability to act as a consultant to management. Interacts constructively with children. Provides clear direction to subordinates
CORE JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma required
Two-Year Program in Early Childhood Education (CDA)
Current CPR certification
Current Red Cross Certification
DCF Certification 45 hrs.
Child Development Associate Credential (or State approved CDA Equivalency)
Experience:
In lieu of Education: a minimum of 3 years of experience in a center-based Child Care setting preferable with experience in classroom management and curriculum planning and implementation.
2. In addition to Education: A minimum of 2 years of experience in center-based Child Care setting preferable with experience in classroom management and curriculum.
