JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Materials Supervisor to oversee our material handling operations. As a Materials Supervisor, you will lead a team of 24 material handlers and be responsible for the efficient functioning of shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes. Your role will focus on ensuring the safety of all team members, maintaining a clean and orderly work environment, and facilitating effective communication with customers and external vendors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of 24 material handlers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
-Oversee shipping and receiving operations, including the timely processing of incoming and outgoing materials.
-Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation procedures.
-Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols, conducting regular safety inspections and providing training to team members.
-Enforce cleanliness and organization standards within the warehouse and work areas.
-Coordinate with customer service to fulfill order requirements and address any shipping or inventory issues.
-Communicate with external vendors to facilitate material transactions, resolve supply chain issues, and optimize inventory levels.
-Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for material handling and inventory control processes.
-Utilize inventory management systems to track materials, monitor stock levels, and generate reports.
-Collaborate with other departments such as production, procurement, and quality assurance to meet operational goals and customer demands.
-Provide leadership, guidance, and performance feedback to material handling team members.
-Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications and Skills:
-Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
-Proven experience (3+ years) in a supervisory role within a warehouse or distribution environment.
-Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, and inventory control procedures.
-Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
-Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
-Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
-Effective communication skills to interact with internal stakeholders, customers, and external vendors.
-Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address operational challenges.
-Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
