The purpose of the Shipping & Stockroom Clerk position is to accurately process inventory movement and control of materials in the warehouse, stockroom and shipping department in support of Manufacturing & Logistic requirements. Position requires that all GMP’s and SOP’s are followed in accordance with SQF Policy. The position may also serve as a backup in processing export paperwork for international shipments and also backup the delivery driver for either local deliveries or longer trips.
Responsibilities
Shipping & Stockroom Clerk Activities
Verify, count, identify and properly locate incoming materials into approved stockroom and warehouse locations.
Ensure that All Inventory Transactions are completed daily in both a timely and accurate manner.
Accurately perform Weekly Cycle Counts, record and report required information, noting any improvement suggestions observed during the Cycle Counting Process.
Prepare materials for domestic or export shipment by performing various shipping operations including weighing, crating, boxing, skidding, strapping, and marking.
Receiving Activities
Unload incoming materials by utilizing several mechanical and manual material movement devices such as forklift, pallet jack, and dolly cart.
Verify the number and condition of packages, crates, cases, etc. being received with the bill of lading documentation, noting any receipt of damaged or shorted materials
Work with buyer to correct any discrepancies on part orders.
Equipment Maintenance, Housekeeping and Safety
Maintain proper storage of finish products and raw materials at all times.
Ensure work area is clean and well organized, Utilizing 5S Philosophies.
Distribution (Preferred)
Support the delivery of process materials to Fresh Fruit packinghouses in a timely and professional manner as needed
Maintain proper documentation distribution/delivery of all chemicals.
T. log books and all required reports have been properly maintained and completed.
Export Sales Order Documentation and Shipping (Preferred)
Ensure that all export sales order shipments Commercial Invoice generated are properly completed
Adhere to customer requests for preferred carriers as stated in customer notes or in sales order
Become familiar with freight forwarders’ procedures and maintain relationship.

Qualifications
The Challenge

DOT, IATA, IMDG certification
2 years shipping and warehouse experience.
Forklift Certified
Basic Command of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excell.
Willing to work overtime including weekends as required.
