Wilsonart currently has an opening for a General Manager for our US Quartz business. This role will be responsible for directing and overseeing the activities of the Wilsonart US Quartz operations to obtain maximized profits in the US market. Reports to the Vice President, Technistone and Quartz. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manges sales and marketing activities of the US market.
  • Oversees and coordinates with internal partners, the US distribution channel of the product line including purchasing, transport from suppliers, stock management, warehousing, and delivery to customers.
  • Manages the US product range by understanding market trends, internal performance grade categories and the availability of production possibilities.
  • Oversees the negotiation with suppliers both internally and via outsourced options.
  • Manages the pricing and discount system for various customers and types of deliveries within the US market.
  • With the support of HR, attract, develop, motivate, and engage a high performing workforce dedicated to the growth of the US Quartz category.
  • With the support of the finance department, understand financial reporting, manage budgets and forecasts, and use this data to make informed business decisions.
  • Will have direct responsibility for using all resources and tools to drive exponential growth in this product channel in the US Market.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree Required in Engineering, Business, or other Technical Discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted. Masters Degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing company, with responsibilities of manufacturing and/or sales and marketing in a similar or industry-related role.
  • Experience in Quartz or other hard surface materials is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience working in Global/Cross-cultural environments is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal relations skills.
  • Statistical and analytical problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated history of growing and developing direct reports.

WORKING CONDITIONS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about. Travel and the ability to visit customers in their work setting is required. ENVIRONMENT:
Located in a comfortable indoor area for a majority of the role.
