Summary

The Sr. Manager, Workforce planning must ensure that USIC maintains the skilled workforce needed to satisfy customers’ changing business needs, built on a foundation of a strong employee value proposition, insightful analytics, an efficient hiring engine, and an effective certification program. The talent supply chain performance is measured by maintaining an overall staffing level above 90% and a normalized turnover rate below 50%.                                                                                                                                                                         

                                                                                                                                                                      

Responsibilities


  • Manage the weekly Workforce Planning Reviews

  • Prepare and deliver periodic operational reviews of the overall TSC

  • Regularly communicate status changes and forecast updates to all stakeholder groups as changes are made.

  • Maintain close connections with all TSC functional leaders to ensure alignment. 

  • Collaborate and drive resolution when issues are identified.                                        

  • Maintain the master copy of the Talent Supply Chain process, performance requirements, supporting systems, and stakeholder groups and full oversight of version control.

  • Ensure the documentation, supporting materials, links, etc. are stored and available to all stakeholders.

  • Track and communicate the end-to-end performance of the TSC (process flow connecting demand and supply)

  • Performance to forecasts

  • Performance to standard work commitments

  • Collaborate with Finance to calibrate the workforce planning status and forecasts vs. 20XX operating plan.

  • Provide periodic training on the end-to-end TSC to new participants.

  • Provide training and ensure timely communication on any material changes in the process/systems.

  • Prepare and deliver periodic communications across the TSC stakeholder community.  May include email, sessions, videos, etc.

  • Identify performance issues in the TSC, prioritize responses, and drive resolution.

  • Manage the overall roadmap of TSC improvement projects, regularly report out on progress.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement; drive actions using lean six sigma principles.

  • Drive specific improvement plans as defined by the TSC sponsors.

  • Research and benchmark talent supply chain best practices and recommend value-add improvements for USIC.

Requirements


  • Bachelors Degree Required


  • 7+ years prior experience in workforce planning, supply chain planning/management or Industrial Engineering functions.

  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement best practices (Lean Six Sigma)

  • Ability to work effectively across a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Effective written and verbal communication, ability to lead meetings and training sessions.

  • Strong data management and analytical skills
