View Point Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Float Nurse.

The Float Nurse will provide vital support across all Substance Use Disorder (SUD) programs on our Kirkland campus in Covington, Ga., including Detox, intensive residential 28-day, and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services. This role requires excellent nursing skills, case management experience, and a commitment to delivering compassionate care. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional critical thinking abilities, display a high level of accountability, and excel in communication and customer service.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct the initial comprehensive nursing assessment and other relevant clinical documentation including but not limited to Treatment Plans, initial CONNECTS and behavioral health assessments.Facilitates and manage transfers of care between Detox,28-day program and/or MAT.Communicate effectively with providers, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.Completing other tasks within the scope of registered nurses and the program services and proceduresMonitor client treatment progress, including medication efficacy and potential side effects, and report findings with healthcare team.Collaborates and assists clinical and direct care staff to coordinate discharges and transitions of care with internal and external referral sources.Attend and actively participate in treatment team meetings and other staff meetings as assigned.Provide patient education on healthcare topics as needed.Actively engage with patients to support their continued participation in treatment post-detoxification.Assist with orienting new staff. Provide relief for breaks and assist with Direct Care floor coverage as needed.Attend all training courses, nurses meetings, and other staff meetings as assigned.Maintain accuracy and timeliness. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development activities to enhance nursing practice and promote excellence in care delivery.The Float Nurse may occasionally assume a Charge Nurse position.Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university OR associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse AND any related professional work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience providing nursing care in addiction treatment setting and familiarity with ASAM and MATSomeone who is flexible and comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment.Experience with CareLogic electronic health record.

Requirements/Competencies:
Must be a fully licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Georgia.Must be able to lift 20 pounds.Requires long periods of sitting/standing.Must have valid Georgia drivers license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting)Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to random drug screens.Any combination of training and experience would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.Other duties as assigned.
