Laboratory Technician

Job Description:

The Role:

Our site in Franklin, MA is seeking a Lab Technician to join our Analytical Services Lab in our AMC business unit of Entegris’ MC Division. The Laboratory Technician performs chemical testing and analysis using GC-MS and Ion Exchange Chromatography, assists in problem solving and provides technical services to other Entegris functional groups and business units, and contributes to the design of research projects through setting up tests sample preparation and analysis with supervision.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

Testing and Support

• Prepare gas phase sampling kits and ship them to internal and external customers.

• Operates laboratory equipment (GC-MS, IC, etc.) and carries out and schedules routine testing, in support of manufacturing, engineering, and Entegris’ business groups objectives.

• Provides accurate and timely lab test results on which product development and product applications can be made.

• Provides daily calibrations, verifications, and maintenance to small lab equipment and lab instrumentation.

• Process data and generate test reports.

• Ensures technical information is accurate and distributed appropriately.

• Support daily LIMS entries according to ISO 17025 requirement.

Lean Sigma

• Focuses on key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, waste elimination, growth, cost effectiveness and product/system quality.

Overall Support and Quality Focus

• Demonstrates willingness to complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned to support the overall organization. Participates in Entegris' continuous quality improvement process and dedication to customer satisfaction. Monitors and maintains ISO quality standards and protocols.

Qualifications (Education, Training, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Physical Requirements):

• B.S or B.A degree in chemistry, materials science, polymer engineering, or related field.

• The ability to work with tools, fixtures, and instrumentation is required.

• Analytical lab equipment (such as GC-MS, IC) working experience is desired.

• Ability to Lift up 20 pounds.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Good organizing skill.

Work Environment

• Mix of office and lab environments. May require working manufacturing facility settings.
