The Fighting Hawk embodies the spirit of North Dakota fans and is always a representative of UND. Performing as the
Fighting Hawk means being a part of the history of North Dakota. The Fighting Hawk requires dedication
and commitment. Students selected to represent North Dakota as the Fighting Hawk will experience a once-in-a-lifetime
opportunity to add to their college career.
As a member of the Spirit Squad program, the Fighting Hawk is required to follow the same standards/protocols as it relates to time committment, training, academics, etc as all North Dakota Spirit Squad members.
The Fighting Hawk receives a stipend at the end of semester. The stipend is based on the number of events worked.
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Physical Requirements
* Performing in a mascot costume is very physical, so you must be in good physical condition
* Height - Costume will accommodate 5'8"-6'4"
* Complete and be cleared with a sports physical through North Dakota Athletics Sports Medicine [ to be completed/cleared prior to officially starting practices, events, etc.]
Academic Requirements
* Maintian a 2.5 GPA
Time Commitment
* Available nights and weekends

Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
