This role involves working under direct or closesupervision to execute routine post-award grant and contract procedures. Thisincludes interfacing with faculty members to ensure adherence to post-awardprocesses and procedures. The primary responsibility is to support faculty inthe financial and compliance management of both externally and internallyfunded awards. Acting as a liaison between faculty and various universityoffices, individuals in this role work under the mentorship of senior staff tooversee award management. They consistently provide comprehensive informationto Principal Investigators and departmental staff and collaborate withadministrative staff on post-award grant management tasks for assigned PIs anddepartments. They will begin to learn procedures for managing the billing cashmanagement of their given portfolio, the coordination of effort reporting, andother more complex aspects of grant/research administration. Individuals inthis role will gradually operate with less guidance and demonstrate increasedtechnical competence within established parameters.

-Associate'sdegree in business administration orrelated field, or equivalentexperience.
-At least 6 months of grant accounting experience.
-Post SecondaryEducation experience can be substituted for experience.
-Valid Driver's License



Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge:
-Skilled inaccounting, reconciliations, grant or other business administration, billing,and/or financial analysis.
-Strong communication skills. Intermediate or aboveExcel and Word skills. 
-Must workindependently and proactively while also being an effective team member.
-Mustpossess the ability to work on several projects simultaneously and efficiently.



Preferred:

-Associate's degree in business administration, accounting,or other closely related field.
-Prefer experience ingrants/contracts/accounting in a higher education setting.  
-Bannerexperience preferred
