Day-To-Day
Conducts and/or coordinates client assessments to determine needs and service plans.
Utilizes assessment data to determine the focus of an offender's pursuits in the RRC, i.e. employment, educational/vocational training, volunteer work, etc.
Utilizes assessment data and input from resident and staff to determine if resident has any special needs for services, e.g., significant medical or mental issues, substance abuse treatment, specialized counseling, or other needs that could be served by community resources.
Establishes linkages with agencies and service providers in the community that are available to meet offender needs and facilitate re-entry.
Sets up and maintains a database of agencies and service providers most likely to be utilized for offenders' re-entry and ongoing needs.
Educates offenders on service availability, application procedures, service locations, to facilitate appropriate linkages.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in social or behavioral sciences from an accredited college or university plus one year of experience working in the social services field in a relevant position.
Valid Texas Drivers' License, clear MVR and ability to be insured.
