Job Description:

The Diversity and Inclusion Specialist is responsible for aligning, facilitating, and executing activities to increase underrepresented groups in our workforce and leadership roles in North America in support of Mosaic's Diversity and Inclusion goals, and play a supporting role in relevant external stakeholder relations.



What will you do?




D&I Attraction, Recruitment and Retention



Act as a connector and driver for HR lead D&I initiatives across North America, liaising across HR functions to ensure alignment, focus and progress towards Mosaic's D&I goals. Support attraction, recruitment, and retention initiatives for underrepresented groups aligned to Mosaic's goals. Attend recruitment and other relevant events.


Support the development and maintenance of a recruitment and retention strategy designed to achieve the company's goals. Be a connection for candidates through their HR lifecycle.


Champion Mosaic's D&I initiatives internally through employee engagement, events, applicable Employee Inclusion Network activities, providing insight and input into the execution of global initiatives for North America.



External Stakeholder Relations Engagement Support



Build relationships with external stakeholders in sync with Public Affairs, Procurement/Strategic Sourcing, and other functions in service of making measurable progress towards goals. Provide support for D&I-focused community investment partnerships as needed. Represent Mosaic externally at relevant events and serve as a community liaison.



Reporting and Miscellaneous Support



Prepare materials and reports. Provide content for communicating and other opportunities. Offer guidance, best practices, and reviews as needed. Participate in global D&I meetings and events.



What will you need?



  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, public affairs or related area


  • 3+ years related experience


  • Will accept 5-7 years equivalent work experience in lieu of degree. Ideally in business administration, indigenous studies, HR, preferred.


  • Diversity & Inclusion-relatedcertification preferred


  • Event coordination, volunteer management and community investment experience a plus


  • Excellent verbal, written, listening and presentation communication skills.




  • Strong organizational and time management skills.


  • Ability to communicate and present information that cascades across organization.


  • Good problem-solving skills


  • Ability to influence and build relationships.


  • Strong Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and grant management software


  • Ability to travel up to 10-20% of time.
