Ellsworth Corporation, a global, industry leading distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment and adhesive manufacturer currently has a Sales & Service Specialist opportunity. This role reports into our TapeCase division located in Elk Grove Village, IL.

At TapeCase, we design, convert, manufacture, and distribute highly engineered adhesive tape products. We add value to the highly engineered products we sell by enhancing their delivered formats by offering expansive tape converting services to provide a custom tape solution for nearly any application. The Sales & Service Specialist responds to inquiries regarding products, service calls and/or orders. They'll work closely with Engineering Sales Representatives (ESR' s) and/or Sales Management on meetings and supporting customer needs. Collects, enters and maintains item data for internal databases and customer formatted templates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responds to customer questions and helps navigate the requirements of the initial quote/bid request
  • Communicates across departments to deliver on customer requirements
  • Participates in customers calls, visits, and meetings and assists in prospecting activities
  • Compiles, prepares and presents a variety of data and reports for business partners and stakeholders
  • Enters documentation for new items (e.g. pricing, attributes, export and chemical compliance, storage, inactivation, etc.) in the data collection master templates and customer new product addition templates
  • Assists in providing customer updates when product data changes
  • Communicates directly with customers requiring assistance with completion of new product introduction templates and document requests
  • Supports product selection, sampling, testing and evaluation of products
  • Collaborates with estimating and customer service teams to support sales related customer inquiries

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 + years of related sales support or industrial product experience and/or training
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required (Associate degree in business/related area preferred)
  • Less than 5% travel
  • Strong problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Able to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the Business Unit
  • Demonstrated experience with common Microsoft Office applications/ formulas
  • Strong customer service skills/focus
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to speak for the customer in company meetings
