Job Description: Essential Duties: Perform electrical inspections on mine equipment and record data in forms and books. Read and understand parts books and manuals. Work with low, medium, and high voltage electric systems safely. Connect, disconnect, and switch high voltage power cable. Perform troubleshooting on AC and DC circuits. Use basic electrical test instruments. Perform job duties in accordance with MSHA law and regulations, established company safety procedures and state and federal environmental regulations. Other Duties: Must drive pickup. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Know how to read and interpret technical manuals and instructions, and electrical prints and schematics. Knowledge of National Electric Code, MSHA regulations. Knowledge of basic electricity and theory. Education and Training: Electrical technical training in vocational school or equivalent experience. Certification as MSHA certified Green Card Electrician or capable of obtaining certification.
