We are looking for a Cloud Financial Operations Analyst to join our team and help us optimize our cloud spending and performance. You will be responsible for developing and implementing financial operations processes and dashboards to enable a full understanding of cloud consumption to drive business value.

As a Cloud Financial Operations Analyst, you will work across technology, finance, and business teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in our cloud operations spend. You will also provide real-time financial reporting and forecasting, as well as insights and recommendations to improve our cloud cost visibility and alignment with our business goals. To be successful in this role, you should have a background in finance or engineering, a love of data and driving business outcomes with it, and a clear and effective communication style.

JOB / DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Develop and implement financial operations processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

  • Experience in cloud capacity management and developing strategy that uses automation to maximize resource utilization and minimize cost.

  • Examine cloud spend trends, uncover savings opportunities, and implement cost optimization initiatives. Additionally, establish cost management standards in partnership with Engineering teams.

  • Create and oversee tools to identify cost trends, anomalies, and budget tracking.

  • Recommend savings opportunities related to cloud commitment purchases (Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, Spot, Committed/Sustained use) and track utilization of these commitments.

  • Work closely with the finance and engineering teams to bridge the gap between finance and operations, and to translate each department's needs and goals into a common language.

  • Provide real-time financial reporting and forecasting, as well as insights and recommendations to improve our cloud cost visibility and alignment with our business goals.

  • Monitor and analyze our cloud spending and performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

  • Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in FinOps and cloud technologies.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE


  • Bachelor's degree in a finance or an engineering field (e.g. Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics)

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in a cloud (AWS preferred) engineering or operations role with a cost optimization focus

  • Cloud Certifications - FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP), AWS Architect Certified

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and data-driven.

  • Clear, effective written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Passionate about driving business outcomes with data and technology.

  • Experience working with FinOps tools such as CloudHealth, AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management.

NOTE: This position is eligible for hybrid working arrangements (requires on-site work from an Insulet office at least 1x/week; may work remotely other days). #LI-Hybrid

Additional Information:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $96,700.00 - $145,300.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
