SUMMARY
Stampede Ventures Inc., a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking qualified HVAC Technician III for Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, VA.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacement of HVAC Equipment.
Complete PM checklists.
Maintain inventory of parts and supplies for air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
Carry out regular periodic plumbing and maintenance tasks as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Maintain excellent customer relations during job performance and interacting with all levels of management.
Work with subcontractors and others.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO's)
VA Master HVAC License
CFC certification
Must be able to pass an extensive background check.
Must have a valid driver's license and transportation.
Should own the tools needed to perform maintenance and repairs on the equipment.
High school education or equivalent.
Must be able to pass drug screening and background check.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Knowledge of multiple types of HVAC systems. (Mini-Splits, Rooftop Units, Chillers-Air Cooled, etc.)
Good mechanical/electrical/plumbing skills as related to HVAC equipment.
Ability to lift and carry weights up to 75 lbs.
Work well with others.
Ability to work with little supervision.
DDC knowledge is a plus.
Preferred
7+ years of experience maintaining and repairing HVAC equipment.
NECESSARY PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

DOT COVERED/SAFETY-SENSITIVE ROLE REQUIREMENTS
This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation "safety-sensitive" functions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Equipment is located outdoors, building mechanical rooms, overhead space, closets, basements and on roof tops.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
