Summary:

The Data Entry/Quarry Dispatcher performs the essential functions of the position, which include performing accurate data entry into existing computer systems, administrative support, and printing of sales tickets. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: data entry, report preparation, administrative staffing, dispatching deliveries, and printing of delivery tickets. This position requires strong communication skills, ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi- task. This will primarily be at the Willard Quarry but will involve some work at the Galloway Quarry as needed.

Essential Job Functions:

Data Entry--


  • Prepare and sort documents/data sheets for the purpose of data entry.

  • Establish entry priorities by maintaining and understanding of what data needs to be entered first.

  • Enter data into prescribed database systems.

  • Check to make sure that accurate data has been entered into the systems.

  • Verify entered data by reviewing, correcting, changing or deleting entered information.

  • Prepare, enter and process data for the weekly payroll processing.

  • Confer with supervisor regarding incomplete information.

  • Check completed work for accuracy and make any required changes.

  • Respond to information access and retrieval requests from authorized members.

  • Generate reports when requested from authorized members.

  • Managing projects assigned by VP - GM of Quarry Division and Site Managers

  • Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries .

Quarry Dispatching--


  • Printing of accurate sales tickets.

  • Entering customer, job, product, truck and other information used to print sales tickets.

  • Scheduling delivery times, loads and product.

  • Assigning trucks to loads to be delivered.

  • Take orders for product deliveries.

  • Handing and process of cash, check and credit card payments.

  • Understanding of products sold to ensure customer satisfaction.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong attention to details.

  • Effective project management skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Education and Experience:

Previous relevant business and/or Data Entry experience required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Familiarity with the construction industry and/or dispatching experience preferred.
