The University of Chicago's Department of Surgery, Section of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy, is searching for full-time faculty members at any rank. Appointees will be responsible for creating an integrated residency program and serve as its Program Director as well as the Associate Program Director of the Vascular Surgery Fellowship. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.


The University of Chicago Heart & Vascular Center has nationally recognized research and education programs that build on collaborations throughout the University and is active in clinical operations and quality improvement in the Medical Center.


Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Surgery or the foreign equivalent, and 4) have completed a fellowship in Vascular Surgery.
