Primary Location:3452 Spur 399, McKinney, Texas, 75069We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
Job Summary:Responsible for maintaining and improving the college's Enterprise Resources System (Workday) and other integrated applications. Involves in-depth knowledge of software components, hands-on configuration, and collaborating with various departments to improve efficiency through technology solutions. Must exhibit proficiency and expertise in Workday or similar ERP platforms.
Required Qualifications:


Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Maintain a deep understanding of the college's Enterprise Resources System, with a focus on components relevant to the assigned functional area.

  • Collaborate with functional users for requirement definition, software design, configuration, testing, and deployment of functional modules, integrations, and reports. Maintain and develop educational standards and knowledge for technological and software advances regarding the district-adopted applications, departmental-adopted applications, and in-house developed applications.

  • Stay current with technological and software advances, providing recommendations for new tools and processes that benefit the department.

  • Act as technical lead for any project from definition to implementation with the ability to maintain resources both functional and technical to ensure efficient and timely implementation for key stakeholders, including but not limited to concise understanding of project and its objectives, deliverables, timelines, communication, system analysis, technical development, testing and implementation.

  • Engage regularly with key stakeholders to understand business needs and recommend IT solutions for process improvement.

  • Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with administration and functional areas on all problems and status of current projects on a regular basis.

  • Develop project documentation, deliver user training, and provide ongoing support for end-users.

  • Participate in the review and implementation of functional tools, upgrades, and patches for the college's Enterprise Resources System.

  • Optimize system performance by conducting database tuning, adjusting configurations, and refining the code base for improved efficiency and speed.

  • Develop data migration tools and protocols to safely and accurately transfer, convert, or integrate data from legacy systems into the ERP platform.

  • Perform system integration testing and assist in user acceptance testing to ensure the software meets all specified requirements.

  • Debug and troubleshoot ERP application issues, providing timely resolutions to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • In-depth knowledge of the college's Enterprise Resources System and its software components

  • Competence in learning new system tools and functionality

  • Understanding of business operations/processes within assigned departments

  • Knowledge of cloud-based technology and object-oriented data models

  • Knowledge of technical design, technical unit and integration testing, and technical requirements

  • Critical analysis, technical, and analytical skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative, fast-paced environment




Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Positions in this class typically require talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.



Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information System (CIS), or Management Information System (MIS) from an accredited institution of higher education.
Two (2) years of related experience.




Preferred

Master's degree from an accredited institution.





Licenses and Certifications

Workday certifications highly desirable
